Sleep Of More Than 1hr A Day Can Cause Diabetes

Take a nap for an hour during the day increases the risk of developing diabetes type 2 by 45 percent.A study of 300,000 people were released in the largest diabetes conference in the world.
Study shows that there was no increased risk of a short afternoon nap 60 minutes.Almost four million Britons suffer from diabetes. More than 90 percent of cases are type 2.
Dr. Yamada Tomahide of Tokyo University, who led the study, said that this is an observational study, and the results do not prove that Napping causes of type 2 diabetes.
He said to European Association for the Study of Diabetes at meeting in Munich, Germany that sleep is a key component of a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and exercise.
However, he said that some people do not get enough sleep at night because of the social life and the factors associated with work and with naps spread throughout the world.
Dr. Tomahide said: “The longer the nap was associated with an increased risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome, further research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of a short nap.”.
